Day – 8 Uluru to King Cannon

Desert Snow Pea

camp at kings canyon

Today was fairly uneventfull.. that is baring in mind that I didn’t have to get up and go to work. We got coffee, filled up with diesel and hit the road. Im fascinated at the amount of car wrecks on the side of the road. All old fords. Its almost like they are part of the landscape. As I was thinking this, this old bomb was driving on the dirt shoulder and it gave me an eveloutionary view as to how these wrecks originate. Anyway, we arrives at kings canyon and set up camp. Next was dinner followed by an influx of the hugest locusts you have ever seen. Every where. We couldent sleep for a while because they were bouncing between the roof cage and the roof making the sound of bullets hitting tin cans. I might also add that tonight was the first night it rained. Not much though. Clock you on the flip side china plate mate.
