Day 18 – Back to Broome – Adventure style.

We like our lizards frilled and not grilled - is a common road sign in WA. These are the little buggers they are talking about. They are sooo cool. This little guy is grabbing some sun. PS you should see him run away. They stand up on thier back legs and run like a tsotsie from the cops.

Can you see him ?

How about now ?

This is middle lagoon. I must say its fairly scary swimming when there is no-one else on the beach and your not sure about crocks and stingers

But then again, if you cant beat them, then you may as well join them

Free Willie ?

I was making a whale noise at this point too by the way

10 out of 10 for looking exactly like a dolphin in this one

This is how to FACE PLANT

Where do you think this little tree gets it water from ?

He looks friendly but have you seen his claws ?

This was the awesome little cafe I was talking about called Whale song. Really worth While

In the mean time... Perth was 19, Brisvegas 17 and Sydney 15 with storms

coffee back at broome.

the world famous cable beach... absolutly stunning

i dont think its possible to capture the feeling of being there when this happens

Im so disappointed to leave Cape Levique. If, in your mind you can imagine a small village in and amongst the shade of green trees on the deep red cliffs of an aqua colored ocean, then your thinking of Cape Levique. But all good things come to an end and so must this. Our first stop was another little settlement called middle lagoon. Not that impressive I thought, although I did execute a series of rather impressive dolphin maneuvers in the luke warm waters. Next was a little café called Whale song. We pulled over for three travelers in the opposite direction. The third stopped and with a smile you would normally see on the consumer of a marijuana cookie, the man stuck his head out the window and said, awwww you gonna love that place mate. Ask for the sticky date cake. And so we did, while we sat at this amazing little café’s balcony made of fresh smelling timber overlooking panoramic views of the ocean. I felt like I wanted to run back to the main road an divert all traffic here with a sign saying “look what I found”. Run by a really lovely couple, I highly recommend anyone traveling to Broome one day to visit this gemstone. Next on the menu was Willie Creek Pearl Farm. I guess I would sound a bit spoilt saying that there wasn’t much there, after all we have just traveled across one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Broome was not much further and when we got there, we were out of supplies so we headed out for some tapas. Over and out.
